Wow, just stumbled on this. Many memories with them both! Enjoyed working with Roger during my 2 years at Sabre. My first day I started working on tooling for a new 28’ hull mold. Then on to the 34’ hull and deck/cockpit molds. Thought I would never finish the plug for that cockpit! I worked throughout the facility inside and out, you name it I think I did it. Roger was a mentor! I learned a lot from him. Was fortunate to sail with them on occasion. I then went on to build and repair/refinish boats from 8’ to 50’ over the next 35 years @ North Shore Yachts in Sebago.

I love the Sabre except for the aft leaning windshield. So I'm still leaning toward the Sargo.

It mentions the sea keeper. But only for at anchor or tied up at the dock. I thought that its purpose was to stabilize the boat under way and could also be used at rest if you didn't mind the noise.

I think I have found it. Exept powder coat > stainless or chrome etc....FLIR? Light bar? Too much wood. However, I do concur , that every million it just gets mo and mo betta upto abhout 6 mil

I work at a Sabre/BC dealership in the PNW, so I’m on the commissioning side of Sabres and I can tell you first hand they are really well built! I realize this post is dated but I have a 48SE and am looking to put a washer/dryer down in the Utility room. Wondering what brand washer and dryer is recommended. The opening to get a combo unit or separate units down the stairs seems super tight and I'd expect to maybe partially dismantle the washer/dryer. Also, 240V preferred??

What is the price oh this magnificent vessel. With the cost of realestate this makes sense! A covered slip is only $600. And electric is $100. I can go fishing for dinner. I can live full-time at the Marina! What’s it going to cost. I already have a price on the 43 Ranger Tug.

I started working on Sabre 28's on the hull platform doing trim work in the 1980's. It was the beginning of a wonderful life long career in the sailing industry. Probably the finest place to work in the entire state of Maine. Roger Hewson was a great leader and a mentor.
